  • Going to school in another country before eighteen

    Entered before the point you are at now

    Finishing school abroad rather than going abroad after school. It is real, and it is the one route on this page where the decision is a family’s rather than a student’s: a minor moving country involves guardianship, consent and a school’s own age policy, none of which is part of buying a course.

    • Guardianship is usually a legal requirement rather than a service the school includes, and it is a continuing cost
    • Safeguarding, consent and who may make decisions for the student are questions to settle in writing before an application, not after an offer
